Monica Morris
Monica was first introduced to restorative justice over 15 years ago and has worked in community and family mediation, Family Group Conferencing, education, the Criminal Justice System, in communities and in workplaces since then. She continues to be fascinated by the depth of restorative practice –and strongly believes in the application of a Restorative Approach in every aspect of human life; from child rearing to education, in families, communities and workplaces as well as conversations between nations in conflict - recognising it can be a force for preventing conflicts and unnecessary suffering, for building healthy relationships and transforming people.
As a black woman, Monica embraces restorative practices as the necessary healing part of her practice, which she combines with a revolutionary zeal in the hope to make our world a better one where all lives really matter. Monica is excited to be working with a group of other experienced, passionate and committed practitioners fuelled by and practising radical respect, to extend the reach of RA to those who do not currently benefit from it and in doing so make our contribution to the creation of better world through healthier families and cohesive workplaces and communities.
